4/9/2023 0 Comments Condor mopc![]() ![]() ![]() I agree Evile.I don't plan on it seeing much use. I'll be the GI Joe who let him self go lol I bet the only time I wear it is on Halloween. Mine is going to sit next to my bed 99.999% of the time. Sure molle might not line up perfect the stitching might not be as good but the limited use most of us who buy it will see I dont think it will matter. For the non leo/teir 1operator condor gear is going to work just fine. And, the Condor MOLLE webbing is much tighter than the milsurp FLCs I own.Īs with most things you need to ask how will this be used? Are you a cop or going into a war zone condor isn't for you. I have spent quite a lot of time moving around the MOLLE pouches I have on my Condor PC, and I have never had a problem with the stitching breaking loose. Mine is only in case the S hits the fan, so for that purpose, its fine. I went with a Condor plate carrier three years ago for the same reasons as you did. I have a few things from Condor, and they've been good to me so I'm hoping it continues with this. If I start running courses a bunch, and putting a lot of hours on it I'll look for something a little more quality. ![]() I know it's not the best quality I could buy, but for how infrequently it will be used (as of now) I think it's great for my purposes, and half the price of anything else I've seen (family and other projects aren't allowing $200 on a plate carrier right now!). Ive got a few all day training courses and 100+ hrs in mine and there are zero problems with it.īuy once cry once is true the majority of the time but i dont know your budget Ive used condor mildly and the stitching didnt hold up to 6 mags loaded on the front, plates fit poorly, webbing stitching spacing is baaaaaaaad and incomplete, you could probably pull the drag handle off with average dead weight.ĭo your self a favor and get a quality used carrier or go to skdtac and get a paraclete sohpc, its not super expensive, its light, properly stitched, and its a beast of a carrier that other people will want to buy when you want to sell it. Thanks for the continued input, everyone. What about the Cyclone Lightweight or Gunner Lightweight PC vests from Condor? I know the Cyclone is made in the USA, at least. I'm not LE or Military, and don't need to spend $190+ on something I'll, realistically, hardly ever wear in a "trust my life to it" situation.but I don't want to just throw my money away! I would like it to have a cumberbund (I already have a 5.11 plate carrier that's similar to the sentry but lighter weight), and it would be awesome if it could hold plates without breaking down, as some day I'd like to add at least some curved shooters cut front/back trauma plates. I want it for something that I can take shooting with me, to run in a class (if I ever get around to taking one), and that I could grab if we ever need to get the heck out of dodge quickly. Wait, the MOPC isn't Cordura? Hmm, I thought I've seen it advertised as "genuine cordura nylon"? Made of the usual Condor "not-Cordura maybe-it's-PVC (?)" material. The PALS webbing wasn't even in straight lines. I had one to use as part of a Halloween costume. The average civilian isn't going to wear one out. ![]() The multicam condor carriers are decent material. No cummerbund though and not a lot of molle real-estate. Had to add some padding behind the plates inside the pocket ($10 walmart camping mat + $4 matte OD duct tape). I've got a Grey Ghost Minimalist for "bump in the night" civilian use. Add shoulder pads, "pontoon" pads behind the plates, and a MOLLE front panel and you're up $190 without pouches. I think the SKD Brig is the current popular $90 carrier, but that's slick without padding. You can find some slick, no-cumberbund, carriers for around $100, but the only cummerbund carriers with webbing you'll find in that price range are going to be Condor, Rothco, VISM, Voodoo, and some store-brand airsoft stuff like AMA, Matrix, Emerson, etc. You really need to be more specific about what you're looking for though. They just sell for around $190 ($225 MSRP). ![]()
